Solsara Introductory Workshop: Portland @ Private Home
Apr 25 @ 6:45 pm – 9:00 pm

The Solsara Immersion is highly experiential and interactive, and if you’d like more of a sense of what it’s like before committing to a whole weekend, an Introductory Workshop is an opportunity to dive into  the practice of Solsara for a couple of hours as we engage in exercises that support us in being fully present and coming into open-hearted connection with one another. It is also an opportunity to meet people who have been involved in the practice and to get your questions answered. And even if you never end up coming to an Immersion, the Introductory Workshop is a powerful and valuable experience in and of itself and a wonderful way to bring your head and heart into harmonious relationship.

This evening will be hosted by Carrie Renee and Sara Eden Moss.

Please arrive between 6:45-7. We will begin promptly at 7. Enter through the back door of the house.

Cost: $10

Pre-registration is STRONGLY encouraged due to limited space! This space can host 25 people, although sometimes we have been getting 30+ people showing up. If you know you want to attend, please prepay at paypal.me/carriereneekoester.

You are welcome to show up at the door with cash but we will need to cap it at 25 so there is some chance that you could be turned away. We will add some reminders to the event discussion as we get closer. We would love to see you there!

Solsara Immersion: Portland @ The Little Church
May 26 @ 9:00 am – May 28 @ 2:00 pm

Solsara Immersions provide an opportunity for us to come together for three days with these seemingly paradoxical intentions: to surrender to the perfection of the present moment while also embracing our evolutionary impulse to realize our fullest potential.

At a Solsara Immersion, you begin to perceive the ways you’ve been limiting yourself. You learn to recognize the attachments you’ve created which undermine your vision, your reality, your life. You develop the facility to let go of ideas and emotions which separate you from yourself and others. You face where you’ve been stuck, where you’ve been reluctant or unable to change. With this awareness you make choices and take actions that are aligned with your purest intentions.

During the weekend you establish a way of relating with others that encourages a mutual unfolding of your essential selves. You open to the possibility of love which is contained in a vessel of honesty and clarity; to truth which is tempered with an energy of caring and awareness toward others that is filled with delight in giving. You remember who you are without the protection that you began building so many years ago.

We are calling in people with a strong intention to use this practice to further their ability and capacity to be of service and to contribute—to their families, friends, and communities. We ask for your courage and commitment to being the change you wish to see in the world—to recognizing that creating a peaceful and loving human culture is in your hands, manifested through the choices you make moment by moment.

This is the heart of the practice: being honest and vulnerable when your reflex may be to protect or defend yourself; opening in the face of fear; exploring and questioning the beliefs and ideas that you have been living by; letting go of control and security to open to the living experience of love, connection, and freedom; moving with trust towards the unknown.

If you choose to come to an Immersion we ask that you come wholeheartedly. If you feel some fear or anxiety about coming that’s completely understandable; we recognize that this may involve a leap of faith for you. But if you’re ambivalent about participating or if you’re just coming to “check it out” or to please someone else, we encourage you not to come yet—to sit with it until your intention is clear. Whenever you feel ready, we’ll be here.

Immersion Times

This immersion, which is over Memorial Day Weekend, will be Saturday through Monday (rather than Friday through Sunday).

Saturday: 9:00 am – 8:00 pm
Sunday: 9:00 am – 9:00 pm
Monday: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm

Ending times are approximate–we may go slightly later on Saturday and Sunday. We encourage you to plan to arrive a few minutes before scheduled starting times.

Please free your schedule so that you are available to attend all sessions from beginning to end. If there is any reason this may be a problem for you, contact us in advance to discuss it.

Logistics

You may bring your lunch on Friday and Saturday or go out to a nearby restaurant. Snacks will be provided each day in the morning and afternoon. Water and tea are always available. Many students and assistants choose to go out to dinner together in the evenings after we complete.

We do not offer lodging, but if you are coming from out of town and need a place to stay, we can assist you in finding accommodations.

Cost

$295 through April 28th, $345 after April 28th.

A $150 deposit is required to register and reserve a space. The balance is due 2 weeks before the starting date of your Immersion. A $25 late fee will be added to any payments that are beyond 3 days late.

For people with extremely limited funds, we also offer a payment plan and a limited number of partial scholarships. Use this form to apply for a scholarship.

To Register

Complete and submit the Registration Form and pay the deposit. Your registration will be confirmed after we receive these. We often have more applicants than available spaces, so we cannot guarantee a space for you in a particular immersion. Once an immersion is full, we will initiate a waiting list and you can be on standby.

To register with a payment plan, click here (the early-bird discount is not available with payment plans).

Cancellation Policy

We generally have many more applicants than available spaces, so each space is precious and we expect you to show up. If you need to cancel your registration prior to 14 days before the start of the Immersion, all payments will be refunded minus a $25 processing fee, or you can transfer to a later Immersion within one calendar year for no charge.  If you cancel within 14 days of the start of the Immersion, no refunds or transfer credits are available.  Please notify us if you wish to gift your space to another person.
