Solsara II: The Practice – Embodying Your Liberated Self

Grace and Shuba

Stay tuned for the next date for The Practice, which will be in 2018. Info about last year’s Practice below.

Through this retreat, which will be held in a beautiful house on the Oregon Coast, expect to increase your sense of self-confidence, free yourself from limiting identities and roles, discover dynamic parts of who you are and find ease in expressing yourself fully and creatively, learn to skillfully tend to shame and fear when they arise, and experience deep joy and fulfillment in connecting with others honestly and authentically.

Be prepared to be on your growth edge throughout the entire experience as we will delve into our limitations in creative and dynamic ways, including the gifts of our wounds as we focus on moving beyond a sense of damage into manifesting our potential. Embracing our authentic voice, we will explore and create ourselves from intention, living and acting from our hearts and our visions of who we truly are. Laughter and levity, movement, dance and imagination will assist us in expressing aspects of ourselves and creating a rich sense of community.

While The Practice builds on the skills and practices introduced in the Immersion, the format and activities are quite different, and will include free time in the afternoon for walking, napping or visiting with other attendees.

Costs

Workshop Fee: $250+

While there is a minimum of $250 (not including food and lodging), our request to you, at the completion of The Practice, is to look into your heart and mind, as well as your wallet, to determine what this work is authentically worth to you, both for yourself and for the larger community, and to pay an amount that represents this value (even if it may be a stretch for you). As a reference, most workshops of similar length and content ask for $400-800 to support their costs. Whatever amount you do choose to offer, we deeply appreciate your support and are grateful for your partnership in bringing this work to the world!

Food and Lodging: $315-375

Delicious organic vegetarian meals and snacks will be provided throughout, beginning with dinner on Wednesday. Vegan and gluten-free options will be available at every meal.

The Lightkeepers Retreat House is a very special and unique 3 story chalet style home with a large event space in Newport, OR. It is tucked behind the Yaquina Head and Lighthouse, less than one block from cliffs overlooking the ocean and a path accessing a private beach. The house has 7 bedrooms, 2 kitchens, 3 full baths, and several common spaces. It sits on a private fenced-in double lot, with a large yard, decks, balconies, garden, fire pit, and a hot tub tucked away inside a private shoji hut.

Lodging options and fees vary depending on your preference and space availability. There are a limited number of private bedrooms, several shared bedrooms, couches, only 2 camp sites, and floor space. This will be an experience of community living. Many sleeping areas and all bathrooms are shared with very limited private space. We invite you to consider this to be part of The Practice; developing clear communication, studying your internal response to a variety of different situations, and strengthening levity with life and each other within a close container. Please contact us with specific needs and we will do our very best to accommodate.
