The Solsara leadership team is choosing to enter a time of reflection, reorientation, and education. We will be slowing down our offerings. Read our announcement letter to learn more about this pause.

“To be fully seen by somebody, and then, be loved anyhow - this is a human offering that can border on miraculous.” ~ Elizabeth Gilbert

Solsara Immersions provide an opportunity for us to come together for three days with these seemingly paradoxical intentions: to surrender to the perfection of the present moment while also embracing our evolutionary impulse to realize our fullest potential.

At a Solsara Immersion, you begin to perceive the ways you’ve been limiting yourself. You learn to recognize the attachments you’ve created which undermine your vision, your reality, your life. You develop the facility to let go of ideas and emotions which separate you from yourself and others. You face where you’ve been stuck, where you’ve been reluctant or unable to change. With this awareness you make choices and take actions that are aligned with your purest intentions.

During the weekend you establish a way of relating with others that encourages a mutual unfolding of your essential selves. You open to the possibility of love which is contained in a vessel of honesty and clarity; to truth which is tempered with an energy of caring and awareness toward others that is filled with delight in giving. You remember who you are without the protection that you began building so many years ago.

This is the heart of the practice: being honest and vulnerable when your reflex may be to protect or defend yourself; opening in the face of fear; exploring and questioning the beliefs and ideas that you have been living by; letting go of control and security to open to the living experience of love, connection, and freedom; moving with trust towards the unknown.

We are calling in people with a strong intention to use this practice to further their ability and capacity to be of service and to contribute—to their families, friends, and communities. We ask for your courage and commitment to being the change you wish to see in the world—to recognizing that creating a peaceful and loving human culture is in your hands, manifested through the choices you make moment by moment.

"My life is different, I am different, or maybe I'm the same I'm just loving myself and letting the me that is there shine through.

I'm continually grateful again and again for the teachers and everyone that does this type of work. I am so thankful for this path before me and the Universe for the abundance of love I am receiving and giving. I'm THRIVING here! It has been a journey of opening, a journey that will continue for the rest of my life. And that thrills me!

If I was to stop doing immersions today I would be forever changed from my time in them, but I'm gonna keep doing the work, for it is what is alive in me in this moment. Both pushing my edges and nurturing my being."

Logistics

Immersions are usually held at varying locations in Eugene and Portland. Several times a year we offer residential Immersions in various beautiful locations. At residential Immersions, the entire group stays onsite and shares meals. These experiences provide a greater opportunity to deepen into the practice.

We recommend bringing comfortable, layered clothing, as the temperature and our activity level will vary throughout the day. Be prepared for periods of extended sitting  as well as some vigorous movement. Please contact us if you'd like to discuss accommodations and options if you have limited mobility or health concerns.

For Immersions held in town, you may choose to bring your lunch or go out to a nearby restaurant. While we don't schedule a dinner break, we do provide hearty snacks mid-morning and mid-evening. Water and tea are always available.

We do not offer lodging for Immersions hosted in the city, but if you are coming from out of town and need a place to stay, we can do our best to assist you in finding accommodations with another person attending the Immersion.
